A board posts a call. We read it and store the role, the project, the location, the union status, the pay, the age range and the link back to the original.

What happens before a call reaches you
Collecting casting calls is the easy half. Making sure the ones you read are real, current and not the same job four times is the rest of it.

Matched
The same role often goes up on several boards at once. Listings are matched against everything already collected so the feed shows it once, not four times.

Read back
A listing is only worth showing while the call is still open. Each one is re-checked against its source, and a call that has closed or been pulled drops out of the feed.

Published
What is left goes into the feed, newest first, with the source named. Applying happens on the original board, so nothing about the submission changes.
Where it still needs people
A structured casting board is straightforward to read. A forum thread, a Facebook group or a mailing list is not: the same information is there, but written by a person, differently every time. Those are the ones worth having and the ones a machine gets wrong.
If you spot a call in the feed that has closed, that is posted twice, or that is not what it claims to be, telling us is genuinely useful. It fixes the listing for everybody reading after you.

There is no reward scheme behind this, despite what the old version of this page implied. It is just useful.
