Boards we read

50 boards

What it does

Built for the search, not the scroll

Three things stand between an open role and the actor right for it. HiredActor takes all three off your plate.

One feed, every board

Casting calls arrive from every source we watch and land in a single list, sorted by when they were found rather than by who paid to be seen.

Checked before you see it

Every listing is read back against its source. Expired calls, duplicates and posts that never had a role behind them do not make it through.

Filtered to you

Union status, age range, gender, location and whether it pays are all read off the listing, so you can cut the feed down to the roles you can actually take.

Made for the audition run

The feed, in your pocket

Calls do not wait for you to get home. The app keeps the whole feed on your phone, marks what you have already looked at, and tells you the moment something opens in a city you work in.

  • Alerts for the locations, unions and role types you actually work in.
  • Every listing links straight back to the board that posted it. No middleman, no fee.

How it works

From posted to in front of you

Three steps, none of which are yours.

1. We watch the boards

Backstage, Casting Networks, Actors Access and the rest. New calls are pulled in as they post, around the clock.

2. We check what came back

Each listing is read against its source, dated, and matched against everything already in the feed so nothing arrives twice or arrives dead.

3. You get the shortlist

Filter by city, union status, pay and age range, then apply on the original board. We take nothing out of the middle.

50 boards

The feed

Everything arrives in one place

Collected, checked and dated. What lands in the app is what a casting director actually posted.

50 boards, one list

Every one of them read on the same schedule, so a call posted to a board you have never heard of reaches you the same as one on Backstage. Missing one you rely on? Tell us about it and it gets added to the run.

Why bother

The part of the job nobody enjoys

Checking six boards every morning is not acting. It is admin, and it is the first thing that gets dropped in a busy week. HiredActor does that pass instead.

No paywall on the feed

Browsing every collected call is free and staying free. Membership buys the member rate on the rest of the toolkit, not access to the jobs.

No reposts, no ghosts

The same role posted to four boards shows up once. A call that closed last week does not show up at all.

You apply at the source

Every listing links to the board that posted it. We never sit between you and a casting director, and we never charge to pass a submission along.

It keeps up with you

The run never stops. Something posted at two in the morning in a city you work in is in the feed before you wake up.

The app is on its way

The feed already works in a browser and always will. Leave an email and you will hear once when the app is on the stores, and not again.
